Paris and I have been traveling non-stop this year and while we have enjoyed every second of every moment, it has made us appreciate being at home even more. As soon as we get in the door we love to change in to our comfy clothes and relax. Even if we have to work, it’s so much nicer when we’re feeling warm and cosy.
So today I wanted to share an ‘At home with me’ post. Not only am I going to share with you my new cosy lounge wear, but I am also going to be sharing my master bedroom en-suite AND mine and Paris’ new Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart.
Paris and I usually buy each other an electric toothbrush each Christmas and we invest a lot of time on our teeth, so we were really excited to discover the new Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart. You may be thinking why am I talking about my teeth and not my latest designer handbag, but I cannot stress enough how we need to focus on our health, before anything else. It’s incredibly important to look after our teeth in order to prevent long term, irreversible damage. Let’s also not ignore the fact that it’s silly to walk around with head-to-toe designer clothes/bags and not put time and money into our oral health and having a nice smile.
I have had some negative experiences with my teeth in the past. While I visit the dentist every eight weeks and my teeth are extremely healthy and in good condition; no fillings and no damage, I feel that they could look “nicer” aesthetically. Unfortunately, I do have a horrible phobia of the dentist. This has stemmed from a bad experience with my braces as a young teenager and again, another bad experience when I had four teeth removed. I have looked into getting braces again and am slowly building up the courage to go through with this. However in the meantime, my strategy is to look after my teeth to the best of my ability at home. By doing this I hope to prevent any damage or complications and fingers crossed avoid any more bad experiences in the dentist chair. For me, looking after my teeth from the comfort of my own home starts with using the best toothbrush on the market; the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart.
The only problem I suffer with when it comes to my teeth is receding gums, which is why the new Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart toothbrush is so vital to my everyday brushing. If you are experiencing the same problem, or even if you aren’t, I’d still strongly recommend this toothbrush. When it comes to receding gums, the damage cannot be reversed so it is vital you do everything to prevent it. Helpfully, the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart alerts you if you are brushing too hard, it will vibrate and tell you to brush in a gentler manner. I need this alert because I am way too rough when I brush my teeth, hence my receding gums. Hopefully the DiamondClean Smart will prevent this from getting worse.
The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart electric toothbrush comes in cashmere grey (my one) and black (Paris’s) and Lunar blue. It also comes with a glass cup that is actually the charger; how clever! You also get a travel case that charges via USB. This means I can continue using this when I travel.
Now for the tech stuff. The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart works with an app which you can sign up to free of charge to help document your progress. You can also send this report to your dentist via the app, so that you can get advice on your brushing routine in-between visits to the surgery. I met with Megan Fairhall at Harley Street Dental Clinic who explained exactly how the brush and app work together. We went through it together to log all my problem areas and discuss where I needed to pay closer attention to and which areas I needed to treat with extra care, like my gums.
The brush comes with four different heads, each head fitted with microchip technology to document the hours of usage and technique when brushing. The brush heads are around £12 each, but worth it to keep a good hygiene routine. You should be changing your brush heads every three months if you are using them, two minutes, twice a day.

Premium Plaque Defence

Premium Gum Care
Alternatively, opt for the Premium Gum Care brush head to improve your gum health. Its smaller size and targeted bristles deliver gentle yet effective cleaning along the gum line, where gum disease starts. It’s clinically proven to deliver up to 100% less gum inflammation and up to 7x healthier gums in just two weeks.
The Premium White brush head removes surface stains and reveal your whitest smile. With its densely packed central stain removal bristles, it’s able to remove up to 100% more stains in just three days.
Long-lasting fresh breath
Lastly, the TongueCare+ brush head works to gently remove odour-causing bacteria from the pores of your tongue. It has 240 specially designed MicroBristles that get between all your tongue’s ridges and grooves to remove bacteria and debris that lead to bad breath. Team this with Philips’ antibacterial BreathRx tongue spray for super-fresh breath.
Philips Sonicare app
Thanks to the smart sensor technology in the toothbrush handle, you’ll always know where you’ve brushed, and where you haven’t for 100% coverage. Real-time tracking on the Philips Sonicare app lets you know when you’ve achieved a thorough clean. Plus, if your dentist has highlighted any trouble areas, the app will flag them on your 3D mouth map and remind you to take extra care.

MY MASTER EN-SUITE
This is the first time I am showing you my master en-suite bathroom. Some of you may have noticed it in one of my blogs, the one where we picked up Bambi and bathed her? However I didn’t share too many pictures then, so I thought now was the perfect time.
Our home has so much French influence, partly because of Paris’s French heritage, but also because I love French interior styles. All out bath tubs are roll tops with gold accents and all our toilets are Victorian French style with gold accents. We have wood paneling in all our bathrooms, I am obsessed with wood panels and love them in the bathrooms. I actually call this bathroom the “DIOR bathroom” because of the grey panels. I also have “DIOR mirrors” but more of those another time. Sometimes I say to Paris “it’s in the DIOR bathroom” and now he replies “they all look DIOR!” He is right but I put him in his places learning which room is called what by me, it’s hilarious. If I could have my whole house wood paneled I would! Maybe one day…
I chose a dark grey colour for this en-suite because I was going for a regal feel. This bathroom is mostly used by Paris so I wanted it a little more masculine. This is my favourite room to relax in, the dark tones make it so cosy for bath time with the candles on.
Don’t worry I will share all the rest of the rooms soon. Just let me know what you would like to see.
Today I am wearing my new champagne silk PJs. I love to wear fresh clean PJs at home to relax. I also love chunky knit cardigans. Usually I like to wear cashmere, but this chunky knit is actually man made. It feels soft and I loved the heart shaped pom poms. It also comes in green and pink.
