I wore this dress to a wedding in St Tropez. I ordered this last minute and it really was a great last minute buy. I felt so amazing in it, it looked fantastic from every single angle and it floated in the wind. I loved the low v neck which looked perfect with my feather pendent, I loved the colours; it was the definition of the perfect dress. I even had people coming over to me at the wedding, when I say people I mean men, French men actually told me I had the most beautiful dress on. This is a winner when it comes to getting attention off the boys 😉
I ordered this in a 10 because I was flying the next day and didn’t want to risk it being too small. I actually needed an 8 and had to hand sew it to make it smaller so bare in mind the sizing is a little bit generous. This dress also come in petite here.
The good news is this dress was under £100 and there is still ever size in stock. Click here to shop.
I teamed this with my Valentino Lock bag which was the perfect bag. A Valentino Lock bag is so perfect and elegant for a wedding. I wore flat shoes all day but also packed the same shoes as a heel version.
This is probably a good time to share my “dress rule”. I hate rush shopping (I mean this was the one time I did rush shop but it was stressful and I got lucky) as I always get so stressed and end up buying something I don’t love. I have this rule and I have lived by it for ten years. When I am shopping on line or in store I pretty much never go shopping for a particular item. I look for what ever takes my fancy, it is totally irrelevant if I don’t even have an event or anywhere to go; if I see a nice dress I buy it. I then keep it in my wardrobe and save it for that special event. You might think you will end up wearing a dress too late that everyone has already worn but no you are wrong. First of all who cares if anyones has worn it. This only applies if someone you dislike wears it before you; this is a whole new story and yes we can not let that b*tch wear it before you. So you have to be strategic.
If it is an obvious brand then okay you need to wear that pronto but I tend to shop inlaces other people don’t because I hate wearing the obvious choice. Or I shop in places that roll out collections every single week, stock sells out fast and has soon been and gone. This dress is from one of those places.
The second factor is to realise that when you buy a new dress and wear it to the races or a wedding there is a strong chance someone else would be wearing it. This is bad, we don’t want this. So when you save dresses, people often forget about it and you for sure won’t be wearing the same dress as someone else.
One of the best dresses I ever worn, such fab value for money.
