Tassel Swishing

tassel top

This was my second look from the Coachella festival. This was the only outfit I planned on wearing before the holiday, the others were all last minute choices due to the hot weather. As soon as I saw the leather tassel top from ASOS I had to buy it! I had seen one in black from Zara last year, did anyone else see that? I really loved it but it was £80 and was not sure where I would wear it. The ASOS version was £70 so still expensive and looking back the black one would be more wearable for London but I enjoyed wearing it in Palm Springs and I love lilac so hay ho! If I had the ideal body I would have loved to have worn a bikini top underneath, specially with the hot weather BUT unfortunately I do not have a tummy flaunting figure boooooo so I opted for a lilac knitted top that was loose and a really nice shape. I am conscious of my tummy and it is the worse area of my body hence I alway pose for back shots in bikini photos (not because I love my bum) these shape tops are ideal for covering pouchy tummies like mine :) I was really happy with the combination.

Palm Springs Windmills

summer style

I bet you have all seen hundreds of bloggers taking photos near the windmills? Of course this was a must for me, if only they were simple to find! We drove miles to find them and then about an hour of driving to just get close to them. Maybe there is a blogger’s guide to finding these stunning, breath taking backgrounds and I am not aware of it. I would do whatever it takes for a good photo so I persevered and found the bloody windmills. It was most definitely worth it, the background is the best part of the photos. I just wish I had something longer with more layers to swish around in the wind!! I will be sure to take something like this if I ever find myself going to a windy desert again.

Dior Cafe at Harrods

dior cafe at harrods

The weekend after Mothers day Paris and I took our mums to Harrods to have tea and cakes at the Dior (pop up) cafe. HMMMM I was a bit disappointed with the whole day if I am honest. I had so many people email me asking me if it was good and they wish they could of gone. So I wanted to give you my honest opinion. This was the week I was really ill so I did not feel great. The cafe was lovely BUT the space was so skinny, the waiters were struggling to walk around the tables and customers were squeezing passed each other. The cafe was pretty and I love grey so I ignored how small it was. The cakes were not great and there was hardly nothing there so we were all still hungry. We ordered two lobster sandwiches (I am allergic to fish so I passed.) For a few small cakes two sandwiches and fours teas the bill came to £140, so over priced. Lunch for four people at somewhere special £140 is fine but not when the place was such a squeeze, the food was not great and we had enough food for two. As for the exhibition it was nice to see but I went to the Chanel one last year and that was a lot more impressive.

Coachella Booties

red denim jeans pants

So these are the boots I chose for Coachella! What do you think? I wanted to test them before I pack them as the last thing I want is to wear them all day and they hurt my feet, but they are nice and comfy so I am happy. I bought a size 38 so these boots do come up generous, I was surprised because I am a 39 in the Bekket sneakers. If you buy these online like I did then I would advise to chose the smaller size.

Dungaree Days

denim dungarees

I have been seeing dungarees a lot lately but most of them do not look great on me so I was so happy when I found these ones. Dungaress are not that flattering so it is hard to find a shape that suits individual body shapes. Normally I find the designer brands fit best which is no surprise but this time a high street version was the winner for me. They are flattering, comfortable and I can wear them with heels or sneakers. They cost £39.99 so I am really pleased with them. Now I am desperate for some leather ones (see last photo.)
